David T. Schlendorf is a community-focused leader with a career defined by service, mentorship, and integrity. He has spent decades contributing to his community through youth sports leadership, faith-based volunteer work, and professional roles spanning law, project management, and public service. Throughout his life, David T. Schlendorf has prioritized giving back and inspiring others.
From 2005 to 2014, David T. Schlendorf served as president of the Toms River Youth Football League, overseeing programs for hundreds of young athletes ages five to 14. He led coach selection, league development, and scheduling with towns across New Jersey, helping build a safe, structured, and uplifting youth sports community.
Under his leadership, young players developed athletic skills and learned teamwork, respect, and perseverance. In recognition of his service, he was named American Youth Football Volunteer of the Year in 2015, reflecting the countless hours he dedicated to supporting youth and families.
David T. Schlendorf has also served in key roles as a project manager at Hanlon Sculpture Studio, first part-time beginning in 2010 and later full-time through 2025. He oversaw major projects nationwide, directed logistics and contract strategy, and helped secure some of the largest commissions in the studio’s history.
